THIRD CONCENTRATE SHIPMENT FROM CENTURY

Pasminco announced today that the third shipment of zinc concentrate from the Century Mine departed the Gulf of Carpentaria on Thursday 23 March. The shipment of 27,000wmt, is destined for Pasminco`s Budel Smelter in the Netherlands. The concentrate specification again met Budel`s tight requirements.

The next concentrate shipment of 40,000 tonnes is expected to depart during early April, also scheduled for Budel.

Following its repair, the original ball mill motor has been re-installed in the concentrator to replace the temporary unit that has been in place since October last year.

With the re-installation of the ball mill motor the milling circuit is operating at close to the design capacity of 5.0 million tonnes per annum.
